Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Assessmentr (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Assessmentr is

Assessmentr runs a voice-first diagnostic that probes your understanding of a chosen software engineering role and returns an evidence-backed gap map: a ranked list of possible gaps in your own knowledge, with the evidence behind each one.

Assessmentr is a self-directed learning tool for your own use. It does not produce a readiness score, a hiring recommendation, or a certification, and your results are not shared with any employer or third party unless you take an explicit action to generate and send a share link.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Assessmentr.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us promptly at support@assessmentr.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Voice diagnostics

A voice diagnostic requires microphone access. When you start a session, your microphone audio is transmitted to our voice infrastructure and transcribed to text so the diagnostic can evaluate your answer; see our Privacy Policy for how that audio and transcript are handled. Do not run a diagnostic in a jurisdiction, or in the presence of a third party, where recording audio requires a consent you have not obtained.

4. Subscriptions, credit, and billing

• Free accounts receive a limited weekly diagnostic credit, as shown in the app at the time of use.
• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe, our payment processor.
• You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.
• Except where required by law, fees already charged are non-refundable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to evaluate, screen, or make decisions about another person without their knowledge and consent.
• Share your account, or circumvent diagnostic-credit limits through multiple accounts.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying benchmark, evidence, or model logic of the Service.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of others.

6. Intellectual property

Assessmentr and its underlying benchmarks, diagnostic logic, and product design are owned by us. Your answers and the gap map generated from them belong to you; we retain a licence to store and process them solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." A gap map reflects what our diagnostic was able to test in a given session and is provisional where evidence is limited — it is not a guarantee of interview outcome, job performance, or readiness. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any gap identified (or not identified) is exhaustive.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Assessmentr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any outcome of an interview or job application. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your account yourself from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your sign-in account is removed, your diagnostic data is erased, and any remaining access or credit is forfeited. We do not refund unused access on a self-initiated deletion, and there is no recovery or export afterwards. Section 4 of the Privacy Policy lists what is retained. Questions: support@assessmentr.com. 10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
